Program Updates Promise Another Successful Year

Chelsea Jones, EDCY Greenville Assistant Program Director

A new school year of tutoring has begun, and I could not be more excited! As the Assistant Program Coordinator for EDCY's Greenville program, I strive to find ways to improve our growing program for the students we serve, as well as the tutors and volunteers who help.

Over the summer I worked with Kay Sloat, Program Director for the Greenville program, to manage the growing number of students in need of tutoring. Our plan of action was to tutor 1st and 3rd grades on Mondays and Wednesdays and 2nd and 4th grades on Tuesdays, while continuing to tutor 5th through 8th grades Monday through Thursday.

We hope these changes will improve the student-to-tutor ratio and create a more focused setting. Continue reading >

Current Programs
GREENVILLE

The Greenville EDCY Program offers after school and summer tutoring to students in grades 1-8. Summer tutoring is held Monday through Friday at the Greenville Public Library, as well as Monday through Thursday at Edison State Community College Darke County Campus. The After School Program is available throughout the school year at Greenville Elementary School.
ANSONIA

Beginning with the 2019-2020 academic year, the Ansonia EDCY Program will provide after school tutoring to its students in grades 1-4.
